LAGOS LITERARY AWARDS FOR CHILDREN
We warmly invite you to nominate a student of your primary or secondary School for the Lagos Literary Awards for Children at the 2020 World Book Day program.
Category of Award
*Excellence in Reading (Role Model)
*Excellence in Writing (Author)
*Excellence in Poetry (Written/SpokenWord)
*Excellence in Illustration (Arts)
Competition will be based on the theme: Share A Story, Save The Planet.
Instructions
Please send only one entry per nominee to avoid disqualification. Semi-finalists will be notified via text and email. Ensure the entry video is clear and audible.
Kindly prepare a short profile of each of your nominees on the different category. This should be submitted alongside the screening instructions. Name of nominee, class, age and school should be clearly stated for each entry.
You can nominate for both primary and secondary level participation.
You are required to include the phrase below in your submission-
I hereby grant permission to iRead Mobile Library Network to use photographs and videos of nominees in their publication for the purpose of the Lagos Literary Awards event at the 2020 World Book Day.

Dear School Leader,
Kindly nominate a child from your School for any 2 categories of the Lagos Literary Awards for Children at the World Book Day event hosted by iRead Mobile Library Network and partners on Thursday 5th March, 2020 at the Auditorium, African Church Model College, Ifako, Lagos.
Please find the instructions below.
Prepare a clear 58 seconds video of a nominee’s literary work for the category he/she has been selected for.
Kindly note that only one entry per category will be accepted from a school in primary and secondary levels. Also, no new nominations or replacement will be approved after entry has been submitted.
Post your 58 seconds video entry before close of business, 4pm on Thursday 27th February, 2019 via whatsapp to 08161646115 and 07068150282. Send same entry via email to info@iread.com.ng
Choose the appropriate option for the category entered for.
1: As a poet, Share A Story in writing and spoken word with a focus on ‘Save the Planet’.
2: As an ardent reader, post your clear reading of an excerpt from the award winning book ‘Boom,Boom’ by Jude Idada
3: As an illustrator, create a drawing to Share A Story that inspires people to think about ‘Save the Planet’ with a focus on Climate Change. Grant an interview to explain your illustration.
4: We all dream of a safe world—a world of security, peace and justice. As a writer, Share A Story of not more than 250 words that depicts the theme ‘Save the Planet’. Type and send.
